Each winter southern Californians have the privilege of seeing migrating gray whales right off shore! ACS-LA is committed to educating people about these great creatures. Along with the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, ACS-LA trains docents to accompany whalewatch trips to educate the public about the whales, dolphins, and other sea creatures that live off our coast.

Trips are available late December through April, and are usually 3 hours long. The Whalewatch docents are available for trips with these organizations:

Redondo Sport Fishing
233 N Harbor Drive, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
310-372-2111

22nd Street Landing
141 West 22nd Street, San Pedro, CA 90731
(310) 832-8304

Spirit Cruises, San Pedro
Ports O' Call Village, San Pedro, CA 90731

*** Make sure to mention that you read about them here ***

If you are interested in participating in our program, classes start the first week in October, and are held each Tuesday at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium through March. For more information on the program, please visit the CMA website's volunteer page.
