THE AMERICAN CETACEAN SOCIETY/LOS ANGELES CHAPTER INVITES ALL MEMBERS AND WELCOMES THE GENERAL PUBLIC
TO THIS MONTH’S MEETING ON TUES., FEBRUARY 25, 2003 AT 7:30 P.M.
AT THE CABRILLO MARINE AQUARIUM:

"Wild Dolphins and Whales of Southern California"

by

Capt. Dave Anderson

Captain Dave Anderson has made it his life mission to be an ambassador for the ocean creatures off the Southern California coast, and to introduce as many humans as he can to the magnificent sights and experiences that the sea has to offer. He runs Capt. Dave's Dolphin Safari out of Dana Wharf Sportfishing in Dana Point. He takes passengers on natural history trips on his 35-foot catamaran "DolphinSafari.com" for encounters with sea creatures in their natural habitat.

Captain Dave, who calls himself a dolphin and whale nut, started running whale watching trips in the winter months about 10 years ago, and almost 5 years ago switched to year round natural history trips. At the same time he started work on his video, "Wild Dolphins and Whales of Southern California," which is nearing completion. He will share with us some of the amazing footage that he has amassed, both above and below the water.

The Cabrillo Marine Aquarium is located at 3720 Stephen M. White Drive in San Pedro. ACS/LA general meetings are free and are held on the last Tuesday of the month. For an update on the speaker or information about ACS/LA, call (310) 548-8500, or visit our website at www.acs-la.org

Come and meet our speaker in the relaxed surroundings of the Baja Cabana restaurant at our no-host dinner before the meeting. Dinner is at 6 p.m., at 1622 S. Gaffey St. (at 17th St.) in San Pedro. (310) 833-9765.
