  • As the gray whale migration gradually comes to an end off Southern
    California, the humpback whales have arrived in full force. Humpbacks are
    being seen in the San Pedro Channel, and are being reported in good number
    from the Santa Barbara Channel and Monterey Bay. The first blue whales of
    the season are beginning to arrive.
